Come Visit Us This
Fall
Although the summer months offer endless excitement, lots of
fun & relaxation, & hopefully plenty of fishing &
golfing, imagine what ALL these trees look like in the fall!
The brilliant foliage is spectacular when accented by green
pine & sparkling blue waters in autumn. Some even
say the colors burst forth in a way that can only be described
as "the woods look to be on fire!"
This is also the time when the hustle &
bustle of the summer crowds is replaced by the peace &
quiet of the country side. Come back in late
September or early October (our "Fall Color Time")
to marvel at nature's beauty, catch a fish fat with the
promise of colder days ahead, relax and witness the seasonal
change. Come see our fall spectacle, and let nature persuade
you to stay just a little bit longer.

A Drive Through
Autumn's Glory
Wisconsin's fall road show is a seasonal
treasure. Routes resplendent in autumn colors make a
driving trip its own reward. Recommended trips include:
|
- Hwy 70 east from Spooner to Stone Lake
a popular drive, but the color drive is best on the
small back roads that wind through water & wood.
- River Road located just north of Trego
(turn west off Hwy 53 at the brown DNR directional
sign to Trego Lakes Ski Trail) is an awesome, secluded
drive.
- Great Divide National Scenic Byway (Hwy. 77)
take a drive down the windy roads through the majestic
Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest.
- Chippewa
Queen Tours
jump on board this 25-mile excursion highlighting
dramatic color and abundant wildlife on the Chippewa
Flowage.

Don't forget
Wisconsin's Open Deer Hunting Season
|
|
We have had success each year (shooting a spike or doe on the
public land near the lodge) & Hub, our retired neighbor,
hasn't been skunked in either the rifle or bow seasons in
decades. He typically shoots more than one legal deer a
season. :) See you next Fall! OR COME
